Ecosystem-Based Fisheries Marketing is currently accepting submissions for its second issue, to be published in spring 2022. The theme of the issue will be “Food web structure and function: Where do markets fit in?”
Potential themes of interest include:
What is the role of the marketplace in driving marine food web dynamics, and vice versa?
What might it mean to apply EBFM principles to food webs through marketplace interventions?
What would the benefits of such an approach be?
Are there existing examples that we can point to that illustrate this approach?
How can we measure and track progress towards EBFM goals in the marketplace?
Are there current barriers to application of EBFM that could be resolved via market interventions?
In what ways might a marketplace approach complement or facilitate efforts to apply EBFM in the fisheries management arena?
Experts and practitioners from many different disciplines and perspectives are invited to join this effort.
